DYNE was thrilled to participate in the UBC Technical Career Fair on January 19th, 2023, an event organized by the UBC Computer Science Student Society. The fair brought together 32 tech companies, over 2500 attendees, and 6 collaborating clubs, making it an excellent opportunity for attendees to meet industry professionals and expand their networks.

At our booth, we shared our values of creativity, perseverance, and our belief in the entrepreneurial power of our generation. We were excited to showcase our renewed mission and vision and to share it with attendees. We also provided information about opportunities to join our team and build features used by real customers.

One of the highlights of the fair was the keynote address given by our CTO Parsa Riahi. A published Machine Learning Researcher and podcast host, he shared valuable insights and tips on networking and job research, drawing from his experiences in the tech industry. He emphasized the importance of expanding one's network and how connecting with friends can often lead to some of the most memorable experiences. He also highlighted the significance of working with customers, particularly in smaller companies where innovation can thrive.

Additionally, Parsa shared the importance of pursuing your passions and exploring new opportunities in your career. He encouraged the audience to not focus too much on job descriptions and instead, to showcase their learnings and experiences. His message resonated with the attendees, and many were inspired to think differently about their career paths.
