DYNE has accomplished so many things this past year! Since we previously visited the Collision conference, we've been on a rollercoaster of events, from getting significant seed funding to growing our user base and so much more. Here's a list of our top 15 achievements since Collision 2022!
In the world of tech startups, a year can make a huge difference. And that's certainly true for DYNE. From securing significant seed funding to expanding our user base, we've been on a rollercoaster ride since we last attended the Collision conference. So, in honour of our return to Collision this year, we've compiled a list of 15 achievements from the past year.
CEO and founder Arnav didn't just participate in Collision 2022, he made a big splash, placing in the top 5 out of more than 1500 startups. It was a fierce competition, but DYNE stood out, demonstrating our commitment to innovation and the strength of our vision.
In July, we launched our very own podcast, DYNE N’ Out. Our CTO Parsa took the reins, hosting insightful conversations with industry leaders from the restaurant, community, startup, tech, AI, and VC sectors.
Our journey took an exciting turn in September when we joined the Microsoft Founders Hub. With access to invaluable resources, mentorship, and a community of like-minded entrepreneurs, this step fuelled our growth and propelled us towards success.
We closed the year on a high note with a successful seed round, securing a whopping $2 million in oversubscribed seed funding. This capital injection has allowed us to accelerate our growth and continue to innovate.
This year started with a bang as we joined the prestigious OneEleven Cohort in Toronto. This opportunity allowed us to connect with other innovative startups and gain insights from industry experts.
We hosted our first major Edmonton event since expanding into the city, where our investors shared their thoughts on Alberta's innovative culture and future expansion plans. Since the expansion, we've been busy supporting 12 small businesses and 3 large clients, establishing 2 research teams with the University of Alberta, and building active investor relations.
Our commitment to innovation and excellence was rewarded when we graduated from the renowned Microsoft Founders Hub in April. This milestone underscores our progress, resilience, and potential, setting the stage for even greater achievements.
In collaboration with Microsoft and the League of Innovators (LOI), we held the Under 30 Founders event. Prominent speakers from Microsoft and DYNE engaged with young entrepreneurs and venture capitalists, inspiring the next generation of tech leaders.
In May, we were proud to be part of the Plug and Play Tech Center Agnostic Program. This experience exposed us to new technologies and helped us refine our strategies.
DYNE's COO Eric Grosser represented us at the Alberta Spring EXPO, showcasing our solutions and sharing our vision with a wider audience.
Continuing our fruitful collaboration with Microsoft, we hosted an event that showcased our collective progress, achievements, and shared vision for the future. This event reinforced our commitment to revolutionizing the restaurant industry through advanced analytics and technology.
Who says you can't be young and run a successful tech startup? At DYNE, we're all about breaking stereotypes. In May, we celebrated a milestone as five of our team members - Arnav Mishra, Parsa Riahi, Eric Fleck, Jasmine Flora, and Jae Chew - graduated. And get this, the oldest person on our team is barely 25! We're not just a team; we're a powerhouse of young, dynamic individuals revolutionizing the tech world.
Our Operations Associate, Devvrat, didn't just participate in the Alberta Catalyzer, he dominated it, placing #2 for the People’s Choice Award.
By June, we were working with 750 restaurants, a remarkable 25x increase from the previous year. Talk about exponential growth!
We ended our year on a high note, reaching a milestone of 31,000 users on our DYNE app. Each one of you has been a part of this journey, and we can't thank you enough.
As we gear up for another exciting year and prep for the upcoming Collision conference, we can't help but look back at these triumphs with a sense of pride. Here's to another year of breaking barriers, achieving milestones, and making DYNE a household name in the tech world!
